Feeding Therapy

While still practicing safety for swallow with positioning, bottle selection, and thickening, our therapists use oral/facial reflex integration to mature suck/swallow/breath in infants and older children. The position of which babies naturally feed is also addressed with body work and by facilitating infantile reflexes.

We also increase food tolerances by changing the sensory system in the mouth and epiglottis regulation with primary reflex integration. No more picky eaters!

Infant Care

In home and in clinic appointments

  • Giving C-section babies the sequence of reflexes experienced in the birthing process
  • Suck, swallow, breath reflexes for feeding
  • Feeding/reflux
  • Weighing
  • Normalizing tone during traumatic births
  • Development

Caregiver education: to build knowledge and skills to support your child’s developmental and health needs.
Primitive Reflex Integration: facilitation of the maturation and development of visual, auditory, tactile, oral, and primary movement patterns.

Babies are born with 22 programmed reflexes which emerge at birth. We check to make sure all 22 emerged and give a home program if needed.
